NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA LAKES: North Durham communities continue to see active daily COVID-19 cases drop, while an outbreak at the Central East Correctional Centre, in Lindsay, has helped bump Kawartha Lakes cases up.


As of press time, according to the Durham Regional Health Department, Uxbridge has the highest number of North Durham cases, with 11 people listed in home isolation. Since the start of the pandemic, Uxbridge has had 430 resolved cases and 26 deaths.


Scugog has four active cases, with three people listed in home isolation and one person in a hospital. To date, Scugog has 325 resolved cases and 17 deaths.


Brock Township has five active cases, with four people in home isolation and one person in a hospital. Brock Township has had two deaths and 149 resolved cases.


Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting Kawartha Lakes has 97 unresolved cases, 872 resolved cases and 56 deaths.
