People can get the wrong idea about what a Personal Trainer does. I've heard plenty of stories. It's important to invest in your health as you age. Where do you start? Let's look at some common questions I am asked.
What do you do?
My objective is to teach people how to exercise safely. I assess an individual's needs based on their medical history. I look at your specific needs and design a program which helps you reach a specific goal.
What kind of experience
do you have?
I specialize in working with the over 60 population. I have twenty years of experience and have worked with countless clients over the years. I have worked with clients suffering from terminal cancer, Parkinson's disease, dementia and those recovering from hip and knee replacements.
What kind of exercise
is right for me?
That's hard to say because I know nothing about you.
Here's what I need to assess:
1. Health and medical history
2. Your current fitness level
3. Your specific goal
I need to assess your overall strength. Keep in mind this differs from person to person. It would be negligent of me to suggest an exercise program without knowing your history. What works for one, does not work for all.
Why should I buy
personal training?
If you lack experience in the gym, it's a matter of personal safety. In my experience, those who have direction stick with it longer. You need encouragement, support and direction for long-term success. People need structure and discipline when it comes to developing healthy habits. If you struggle to do this on your own, then that's what I'm here for.
Exercise is like medicine; it needs to be prescribed properly.
