SCUGOG: There is a new Mexican Restaurant in town, Mi Pueblito Lindo. A charming family-run gem nestled in the heart of Port Perry, Ontario. Their true passion for authentic Mexican cuisine shines through in every dish they serve, offering you a true taste of tradition and culture.

As you step into their warm and vibrant space, you'll be greeted by the rich aromas of simmering spices and the cheerful sounds of Latin music. Their dedicated family team takes pride in crafting each meal with love and care, using time-honoured recipes passed down through generations.

The restaurant is locally owned and operated by Sandra Cuellar, husband Ricardo Rodriguez and their son Benjamin Anthony Martinez Cuellar. They are joined by long-time family friends Vivian Moran, Henry Soza and Kenny Johnson in serving you the best Mexican experience possible.

Their slogan "!Bienvenidos a nuestra casa! Welcome to our home - where every meal is a fiesta and every guest is family," found on their website is from their heart.

"At my place we had gatherings. All our friends and family, they always said, 'Oh you cook so well. You should open your own restaurant.' And now here we are!" shared Sandra.

Cooking is in their families blood. Ricardo's brothers, sister, and brother-in-law cook and operate Mexico Lindo Restaurants. Benjamin helped start up Mexico Lindo in Whitby 17 years ago along with several other business venture across Canada and internationally. Now he is taking that experience and joining his parents in starting Mi Pueblito Lindo.

For those of you whose Spanish is rusty, Mi Pueblito Lindo translates as 'My Beautiful Small Town,' a very fitting name for a Port Perry restaurant!

Customers have commented that the atmosphere at Mi Pueblito Lindo feels like home with food.

"The meals are made to serve, not ready to serve," explained Benjamin. "Sometimes it does take a little bit longer because everything is made fresh."

"Port Perry has been very supportive. Some of the tables had to wait a little longer but once they taste it, they understand. It's fresh and really delicious." said Sandra.

They had their official grand opening in January and have been open since.

"Our first weekend was fully booked and has continued that way. We are diligently working to be able to accommodate both walk-ins and reservations. Please call 905-985-9999 to book your reservation and for take-out.

For a great dining experience book your reservation today at Mi Pueblito Lindo, located at 56 Water Street, in Port Perry. For more information on this exceptional restaurant go to their website at mipueblitolindo.com.
