SCUGOG: At a recent Township of Scugog council meeting, Director of Public Works and Infrastructure Services, Grant Taylor provided a progress report on two significant projects: the Water Street rehabilitation and the Palmer Park splash pad and washroom installations.
Mr. Taylor stated, the Water Street rehabilitation project is nearly complete, with only minor tasks, like line painting and a final inspection, remaining. He confirmed, the work is scheduled for completion by the end of last week, on Friday, November 8th.
Additionally, Mr. Taylor reported, the splash pad and new washroom facilities, in Palmer Park, are on track to be finished by the end of November. Crews began installing splash pad equipment, on Monday, November 4th, marking a significant milestone in the project’s progress.
"That is great news. Coordination is everything," remarked Mayor Wilma Wotten, expressing her satisfaction with the projects' timely advancements.
Once complete, these updates to Water Street and Palmer Park will enhance community infrastructure and offer new recreational options for residents, adding to the vibrancy of the waterfront area in Port Perry.
