Virus cases increasing in some municipalities

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: Active COVID-19 case numbers have increased in some municipalities.

According to the Durham Region Health Department, Scugog has 15 active cases as of press time. To date, Scugog has had 18 deaths and 1,061 resolved cases.

Uxbridge has 10 active cases. Since the pandemic’s start, Uxbridge has had 28 deaths and 1,177 resolved cases.

Brock Township has nine active cases. To date, Brock has had four deaths and 605 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 57 active cases. Since the start of 2022, Kawartha Lakes has had 1999 cases reported, 18 deaths and 44 hospitalizations.
