UXBRIDGE: With the weather turning colder, residents were recently reminded the Uxbridge Santa Claus parade is less than a month away.
This year, the parade will be held on Saturday, November 16th, and will start at 11 a.m. The parade annually runs from Centre Road and then down Brock Street before ending at Nelkydd Lane.
“I know the littles enjoyed it the last couple of years. We continue to bring new and exciting things to the Santa Claus parade. If you want community floats, we have many. We’re well ahead of prior years, with regards to the number of floats participating. There’s going to continue to be prizing. There is sponsorship available [as well],” Ward 4 Councillor, Willie Popp said. “As a committee member, we’ve been rocking and rolling along and we’re super excited about it. Fingers crossed we have another banner weather day. It should be a lot of fun.”
For more information on float registration, volunteering, and sponsorships, go online, to the Township of Uxbridge’s website, at uxbridge.ca/parade. The Uxbridge Santa Claus parade has been a community tradition since 1961.
