Uxbridge Kite Day returns to Museum this weekend

UXBRIDGE: The 4th annual Family Kite Day takes flight this weekend high over the picturesque hilltop views of the Uxbridge Historical Centre. The no-cost event is scheduled from from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, July 7th, at the Uxbridge Historical Centre, located at 7239 Conc. 6, in Uxbridge. Bring a kite, enjoy an afternoon picnic, and join us for the afternoon on the breezy fields of Quaker Hill. During the event, staff from the museum will be discussing the history of kites, as well as organizing crafts, games, and other activities for children. Kites, ice-cream, and face painting will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will support the Uxbridge Historical Centre, which includes current work on a textile conservation project. With sunny skies in the forecast for Sunday, it is an excellent opportunity for an fun afternoon of kite flying for the whole family.
