Uxbridge Fall Fair returns to Elgin Park starting on September 6th

UXBRIDGE: The Uxbridge Fall Fair is back and set to bring a weekend full of excitement, entertainment, and community spirit to Elgin Park from Friday, September 6th, to Sunday, September 8th. This year's fair promises to be a thrilling event, packed with attractions and activities for all ages, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The festivities kick off on Friday evening, with gates opening at 5 p.m. The Youth Talent Show will begin slightly earlier, at 4:30 p.m., showcasing local young talents. The midway, a popular attraction, will also open at 5 p.m. alongside the Celebrate Agriculture Tent, providing early attendees with plenty to explore.

For those who enjoy heavy machinery, the Tractor Pull at 7 p.m. is not to be missed. As the night winds down, the midway will close at 11 p.m., bringing the first day of the fair to a close.

Saturday starts early, with gates opening at 8 a.m. The day is packed with events, including Western Horse Speed Events and Games, which start at 8:30 a.m. Buildings and exhibits will open at 10 a.m., alongside the Celebrate Agriculture Tent.

Visitors can look forward to various shows and performances throughout the day, such as the Dairy Goat Show, Sheep Show, and Open Dairy Cattle Show. Entertainment includes performances by comic juggler Craig Douglas, the Beach Cheer team, and the Dancebridge Dancers. The day will culminate with the much-anticipated Demolition Derby at 7 p.m. Once again, the midway will close at 11 p.m.

Sunday's schedule offers a blend of competitions, shows, and family-friendly entertainment. The Heavy Horse Show and Cruise-In Registration kick off the day at 9 a.m., with gates opening an hour earlier. Visitors can enjoy the Baby Show, SuperDogs performances, and a Cruise-In Car Show, among other attractions.

Children will be especially delighted by the Princesses' Sing-Along and Meet and Greet, as well as a fun-filled interaction with superheroes like Spiderman. The day will also feature a nod to local history with "A Nod to Maud," celebrating Lucy Maud Montgomery, along with an Anne of Green Gables lookalike contest.

The fair wraps up on Sunday evening, with exhibits being picked up at 5 p.m., and the midway closing its gates for the final time.
