Upcoming road closure on Regional Road 1 in Uxbridge

UXBRIDGE: The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure, on Regional Road 1, in the Township of Uxbridge, to safely complete road reconstruction.

The closure will run from Regional Road 1, north of Sandford Road, to 400 metres north of Ashworth Road, in Uxbridge.

The work began on Tuesday, July 16th, and is scheduled to continue until December 2024. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

The Region realizes the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution, for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
