The Port Perry House Tour opens their doors again

SHELLEY BERTRIM Special to The Standard SCUGOG: Once again homes and gardens of various size, age and design around our area will welcome the public. This year’s house tour will feature one of Port Perry’s finest Century homes. A quaint mid-1800’s Inn suite, gorgeous new builds, amazing remodels, and a nature retreat! The Port Perry House Tour, presented by the Outreach Committee of Port Perry/Prince Albert United Churches, is in its 11th year, raising over $100,000 to date for five very important local Charities. Big Brother Big Sisters North Durham, North House, Community Care Scugog, Joannes House, and YWCA Oshawa Oshawa. Tickets are $25 each, with all proceeds going to all five charities. Your ticket includes a stop at our “cafe” (Port Perry United Church) for fresh scones and homemade jams, and coffee or tea. Tickets can be purchased at Royal LePage Port Perry or the United Church Office Port Perry now, or online at https://www.portperryhousetour.ca/ If any tickets remain they can be purchased the day of the house tour, at Port Perry United Church. Saturday, September 21st is this years Tour date 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Come enjoy a day out in our community and help those in need!
