Red Plaid Productions are bringing Canada's Celtic Rock Warriors Mudmen back to The Town Hall Theatre in Port Perry, Ontario Friday, January 3rd, 2025. The Mudmen are no strangers to the area selling out the grand hall a few times, performing with Johnny Reid, The Irish Rovers, John McDermott, The Road Hammers and more in the Port Perry area.
Mudmen have guested and opened for The Guess Who, ZZ Top, George Canyon and Gord Banford, to name a few. Career highlights include meeting and performing for the Queen, twelve Canada's Walk of Fame ceremonies, the Edmonton Oilers 1984 Stanley Cup reunion Gala, seven Grey Cups, three Briers, three Memorial Cups, The Flames/Oilers NHL home opening game ceremony, Bob and Doug Mackenzie's TWO FOUR Anniversary on the CBC and much more.
It has been said the Mudmen are the last of the stubborn survivors which just keeps going. The Mudmen, in their 27th year together, have seen and done a lot, the good the bad and the other. Mudmen has had commercial success over the years, mixing Celtic, Country & Rock together for a family-friendly show.
Mudmen music has been featured on Hockey Night in Canada, six Don Cherry Rock 'em Sock 'em hockey videos, HBO's Shameless, NBC's The Black Donnelly's, WWE Wrestling, AE Sports games, Much Music/MTV, reaching number 19 on the top 20 countdown.
The small towns kept Mudmen alive, jokes Rob Campbell, "When we were dropped from the record deal label, with no radio or television support, the small towns and the farming community kept us going, and Mudmen will never forgive that."
"We always start the year off right with a stop at the 1873 Town Hall in Port Perry; a night we always look forward too." said co-founding member Robby.
Mudmen have played over 3000 shows to date in eight different countries building a legion of fans from young to old. It has been said to describe the Mudmen is one word would be fun.
Johnny Reid said, "Mudmen are Canada's best-kept secret."
Don Cherry stated, "Mudmen are good Canadian boys."
Walter Ostanek said, "Mudmen, I am proud of them."
Ron MacLean stated, "Mudmen, we love 'em."
This January's Town Hall concert will see the Mudmen playing music from their 11 albums, with a few new songs thrown in the setlist there, which will most likely be on the next album.
