SCUGOG: A 21 year-old Whitby woman was injured in a collision, in Scugog, on the slippery day of Wednesday, January 29th.
According to Durham Regional Police Service Detective/Constable, Brett Rayne, at 8:55 a.m., “members of North Division responded to a collision, involving two vehicles, on Simcoe Street, north of Coates Road, in Port Perry.”
He added, “a black Honda Civic was northbound, on Simcoe Street, when it crossed the center line of the roadway and collided with an oncoming Dodge pickup.”
Police kept the road closed for hours, so the Collision Investigation Unit could conduct their investigation.
“The driver of the Honda was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge was transported to a local-area hospital, with minor injuries,” police stated.
