KAWARTHA LAKES: A number of roads throughout Lindsay will be closed on the morning of Sunday, July 21st as part of the 41st Annual Lindsay Milk Run.
The 5K/10K begins and ends at the Lindsay Recreation Complex on Angeline ST. The 10K will start at 8 a.m, with the 5K beginning at 8:20 a.m.
The KL21K Half Marathon division of the Lindsay Milk Run will begin on Daytonia Beach Rd., in Cameron at 7:10 a.m. The City estimates that traffic accessing Daytonia Beach Road and Wager Road will be impacted from approximately 6:45 a.m to 7:15 a.m.
The Half Marathon will travel along the Victoria Rail Trail beginning at Wager Road in Cameron and ending at Victoria Junction in Lindsay. The City has advised Trail users to anticipate higher than normal traffic along this section of the trail until around 11 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Close to 500 runners are expected to take part in the Milk Run, resulting in several road closures from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. Some traffic routes that will be affected include Mary St. West, Albert St., Pottinger St., Angeline St. North, Springdale Gardens, Elgin St. and Adelaide St.

Organizers are also encouraging residents living along the routes to join the fun by cheering on participants from the curb.
Pre-registration for the Lindsay Milk Run/KL21K ended on Wednesday, July 17 at 4 p.m. After this time, no further registrations will be taken until race day at 6:30 a.m. (for the 5K and 10K divisions only) space permitting.
