Nurse Next Door celebrates new location in Uxbridge

Nurse Next Door announced its newest franchise location to service Uxbridge, Port Perry, Georgina, Innisfil, and Yorkdale, Ontario. The award-winning senior homecare provider is the first location for the city, and long-term resident and franchise owners, Rajwinder and Mandeep Dhaliwal are bringing "Happier Aging" to the community.

After more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare system, Ms. Dhaliwal was looking for a new way to support their community and to bring happiness to senior residents. When she found Nurse Next Door, it was a perfect match.

"I was inspired to start my franchise because I was drawn to the Happier Aging approach to senior care. Our goal, as an organization, is to keep our seniors living at home while also getting them back to doing the things they love, by exploring and discovering new experiences together.

Studies suggest, 50 percent of our happiness comes from our genetics and 10 percent from circumstances which we can't control, but 40 percent is self-made. This can be out of fear they can no longer participate, like they used to, or for other reasons, like mobility issues," said Ms. Dhaliwal.
