Nestleton crash leaves one person in critical condition

SCUGOG: A 65-year-old man has been listed in critical condition, following a collision, between a motorcycle and a pick up truck, in Nestleton, on Saturday, July 20th.

According to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), “At 6:56 p.m., officers from North Division responded to a collision, involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle, at the intersection of Regional Road 57 and Nestleton Road, in the Township of Scugog.”

“A Chevrolet pick-up was heading westbound, on Regional Road 57, when it turned left into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle heading eastbound. The motorcycle struck the rear right corner of the Chevrolet pickup, throwing the 65-year-old male from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries,” a DRPS press release added.

At the time of our inquiry, the local police service stated, the accident is still under investigation.
