Marion Lee wins the Paul Harris Fellow award

KAWARTHA LAKES: Resident Marion Lee, who is 94 years, received the Rotary Club of Lindsay’s highest award on Friday December 4th among friends and staff of Extendicare Kawartha Lakes. Rotarian’s often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to a person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objective of Rotary and who continue their support of its humanitarian and educational programs.

Marion has dedicated most of her life volunteering, giving back to the communities and donating/fundraising and supporting various charities such as Boy Scouts, Girl Guides of Canada, the Salvation Army, the Ontario Federation of snowmobile Clubs, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Royal Canadian Legion, Port Perry and Lindsay Rotary Club, Canadian Cancer Society and is in the Easter Seals Hall of Fame for fundraising more than $750,000, she has received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal and in 2019 Marion received the Senior of the Year Award from Extendicare Kawartha Lakes and now the highest award through the Rotary Club of Lindsay, the Paul Harris Award.

Marion still donates and volunteers her time whenever she can.
