The Port Perry Lumberjacks started February on the right foot, by defeating the Caledon Golden Hawks.

The Lumberjacks had a rare Sunday away game, in Caledon, on Sunday, February 2nd.

Over two and a half minutes into the first period, Austin Fata opened the scoring, to give the Lumberjacks a 1-0 lead. Then, over 12 minutes in, Kyle Bailey added a goal, to make it 2-0. Just under 15 minutes in, Braedyn Vannetten put the puck in the net. Bailey would strike twice more in the frame, for a first period hat trick, and the Lumberjacks led the game 5-0.

The Golden Hawks scored the only goal of the second period, with less than six minutes remaining on the clock. The score was 5-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Seven and a half minutes into the third period, Bailey scored his fourth goal of the game. The Golden Hawks would strike again, 11 and a half minutes in, making it a 6-2 game. However, 14 and a half minutes in, Fata scored his second goal of the game. Then, just over a minute later, Dylan Waduck put the puck in the net, to increase the score to 8-2. Bailey would strike for two more goals, finishing with six in the game, and the Lumberjacks won 10-2.
