KAWARTHA LAKES: Getting around Lindsay has recently gotten slightly easier, with Lindsay Transit now offering Sunday service. According to a press release, the new service on Sundays will be provided between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There is an addition of one specialized transit service route being offered on Sundays which you can request through the current booking process. “We have identified a further need for our community regarding weekend operations that we hope this new addition of service will help fulfill,” stated Todd Bryant, Manager of Fleet and Transit Services for Kawartha Lakes. The regular transit service operating from Monday to Saturday will continue under the same hours of operations, running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. And implementing Sunday service, Lindsay Transit will also operate an additional Specialized Transit or LIMO on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to help meet the needs of residents using the weekend transit services. The Blue Bus line will extend to include six new stops. Previously, the Blue bus line’s last stop, on Parkside Drive, whereas effective July 2019, it will now continue south to Logie St., turning around at Deacon Cres. until they complete construction and heading back towards Queen St. East.
