Come out for a social time at the chatty Cafe. This social group's goal is to help alleviate loneliness in the community by creating opportunities for people to interact through conversation. All ages are welcome. The Chatty Cafe is open every other week at the Lindsey branch at 190 Kent Street West, in Lindsay. They meet on Tuesdays between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Come out for a fun social time and meet new people; board games and cards are available for people to play.

The Lindsay Ribfest will be hosted at the Lindsay Fairgrounds, 354 Angeline Street South, from Thursday, August 30th until Saturday, September 1st. Admission for adults is $2, children under 5 are free. Try some delicious ribs, burgers, and fries. There will also be several vendors and a wide variety of live music.

Lindsay Farmers Market is on Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thursday's Market is a producer only Market and offers an array of items with many new local vendors. It is located at Wilson Fields, 235 Colburn Street West, in Lindsay with free parking. It is easily accessible from St. Joseph Street. The products they sell are locally grown and produced vegetables, fruits, meats, maple syrup, honey and baked goods. The Lindsay Farmers Market is one of the longest-running markets in Ontario. The Market was established in 1859.
