CRAIG SCHROTER Special to The Standard
KAWARTHA LAKES: On an afternoon when perhaps a lot of junior hockey fans may have been distracted by a certain gold medal game the Lindsay Muskies were in action in North York where they fell to the Rangers by a score of 4 to 1. After a scoreless first period the Rangers opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the second when Tyler Flack scored. At 10:11 Jackson Edwards made it 2 to 0 for North York. The Muskies got on the board at 13:03 when defenseman Artem Guryev scored his second of the year from Curtis Trolley. Early in the third the Muskies pressed for the equalizer but were denied by North York goaltender Eli Shiller. The Rangers got some insurance at 8:18 in the form of a goal from Luca Rea, then Cole O’Hara scored at 13:22 to make it 4 to 1. The Muskies are now off until Friday when they host the Trenton Golden Hawks..
