Kawartha Lakes: The City’s Paramedic Service recently honoured the efforts of eight local residents. On Friday June 21st, at the Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service graduation ceremony, eight residents were recognized for their efforts in assisting an elderly man who had collapsed in Cambray earlier this year, as well as assisting the pair of paramedics once they arrived on the scene. During the ceremony, Colleen Brandse, Kevin Bell, Shane Troyan, Heather Lively, Patricia Bell, Jack Faulkner, Lynne Johnston, and Mary Dowzer-Verbruggen received certificates of appreciation for their efforts during the medical emergency.
