September has come and gone so fast. Now we head into the autumn month of October with all its beauty, but with the knowledge, winter's not far off. Enjoy, everyone; September took on summer's heat, which could last through October, too.

We were honoured to have a WW2 airplane fly directly over our home and surrounding area twice on Saturday afternoon, as it did a fly-by to honour a WW2 Veteran, Jim Parks, celebrating his 100th birthday at the Royal Canadian Legion in Uxbridge.

Thank you to the Bethesda-Reach Women's Institute (W.I.) Ladies, for a wonderful evening of desserts and fashion. These ladies have contributed so much to the surrounding communities and we are blessed with all their endeavours.

Mt. Zion Church hosted a music evening this past Sunday to honour their 168th Anniversary. The music brought so much joy and pleasure into our lives, and those who shared their talent on Sunday sang and played their way into our hearts. Thanks to each performer for the wonderful evening.

With the ploughing match as close as Lindsay this week, we encourage everyone to take in all this agricultural event has to offer. It's a great opportunity to get involved and experience the match.

Birthday and Anniversary wishes to everyone celebrating this month. Make the memories which last forever.

The congregation at Epsom United Church will join with the Pine Grove Church autumn service on Sunday, October 6th, at 3 p.m. Come and enjoy fellowship at this beautiful little church.Epsom United Church has no church service this Sunday or Thanksgiving Sunday. Rev. John McManiman will minister at Epsom-Utica United Church on October 20th at 10:30 a.m.
