Durham police seek suspect in recent Beaverton shooting

BROCK: Durham Regional police services (DRPS) are investigating a shooting which occurred in Beaverton, on Monday, June 29th. According to police, at 7:50 p.m., North Division officers attended a residence near Thorah Concession Road 4 and Highway 12 after a man had been shot. “Officers located a male with serious injuries from a gunshot wound. It is believed there was a verbal altercation between the two males prior to the shooting. The 42-year-old male from Brock Township was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre, via air ambulance, with serious, but non-life threatening injuries,” stated DRPS. Durham’s police are currently looking for a suspect in the case, and are hoping the public can help. “Police searched the area for the suspects, with negative results. Investigators do not believe this was a random attack. There are no suspect descriptors at this time. Investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information regarding this shooting.
