UXBRIDGE: Residents are being asked for their input on a new five-year strategic plan for the Region at an upcoming town hall event.
The Region of Durham is renewing its five-year strategic plan, which will help guide the Region’s decision-making and allocation of resources over the next five years. Local community organizations, businesses, and residents are invited to share their ideas and provide input about the future of Durham Region at one of the town hall discussions taking place this summer.
They will hold the first event at Uxbridge Town Hall – at 51 Toronto St. South – on Tuesday, July 30th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Additional town hall events are slated to take place in Whitby and Oshawa in August.
The Durham Region Strategic Plan is a guiding document that will help identify priorities for Regional Council while creating a framework for the organization’s service planning and delivery. The strategic plan allows the Region to define a set of common goals and prioritize those things that matter most to Durham residents.
