Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience

Laura and Chris Dunlop, owners of Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience, proudly welcome the community to their high-quality, virtual indoor golf establishment in Port Perry. Whether your goal is to improve your golf skills or play with friends, the stunning graphics on their 250 World-Class golf courses are an experience.

At Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience, they equipped their three hitting bays with Foresight Sports “Falcon” overhead launch monitor technology. “This technology provides customers with a massive hitting area with great shot-measuring accuracy and reliability.” The Falcon also has two hitting zones: the Club Zone, which collects data on the ball and club impact. The Ball Only zone collects just ball data. The software (Foresight’s FSX Play program and GSPro) has excellent course design, accuracy, and detail.

All age groups are accommodated at Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience, with games for all to enjoy, from carnival-style games for younger kids to intermediate courses for teenagers. Their fully supervised, manned facility enables them to host kids themselves, with parent’s permission. “This is a place for kids to come and hang out in a safe environment. Families can come and enjoy time together doing something active. It benefits everyone to have a place to go.” states Chris. “Everyone is welcome here. We are accessible as well. If they can handle a golf club, all are welcome.”

They can have kids’ movies and birthday parties, and with their ‘dine safe’ certification, they can order from specific restaurants in town and have food brought in at these events. As a licenced establishment, they can also host business and corporate events at Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience, utilizing the projectors to show PowerPoint presentations.

This fall, at the beginning of October, they are looking to start their fall and winter evening leagues, which will run for 12 weeks until January. The Winter leagues will begin in January and run until the end of March. Leagues fall under the categories of men’s, women’s and mixed and will take place primarily on weeknights. They will be 2-hour sessions, nine holes, and four people per bay.

During weeknights and weekends, the cost at Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience to rent a bay is $48.00 and $43.00 per hour on weekdays. They have a student rate for anyone under 18. A yearly membership and Club rental is available.

Chris and Laura had a vision to bring together their love of sport and community, providing something for families to do in town. Laura highlights, “Our focus was to create a comfortable, safe and welcoming place for families, friends and people of all ages; and create a place where people can share laughs while enjoying physical activity." Chris appreciates the game of golf, the life lessons it teaches you, the friendships you develop and how you can discuss business during the game. As the technology improved years later, they made it happen, and Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience" was established.

At Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience, they want to help the community locally as well. They collect food for Operation Scugog Food Bank on a continuous basis and work with Big Brothers Big Sisters, having hosted some of their camps and worked with their Bigs and Littles. They are about the community and want to be on a first-name basis with people and know what they like and enjoy. Most importantly, they want people to come into Dunny’s Divots Indoor Golf Experience have a relaxed experience, enjoy themselves and feel welcomed in their safe space while having fun playing golf.
