Dump truck crash leaves one man with serious injuries

UXBRIDGE: A man received serious injuries after his vehicle struck a dump truck in Uxbridge, on Wednesday, September 4th.

According to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), the incident occurred, at about 12:20 a.m., on Regional Road 47, near Paisley Lane.

“A black Honda CRV was eastbound, on Regional Road 47, when it reportedly crossed the center line and struck a westbound dump truck. The Honda rolled over after the impact. The driver of the Honda was transported to a Toronto-area trauma hospital, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained on scene, where he cooperated with police,” DRPS spokesperson, Sergeant Joanne Bortoluss stated.

The DRPS had the nearby area closed, for several hours, for their investigation. If anyone has any further information on this incident, police are asking them to contact Detective/Constable Kollaard, at 905-579-1520, ext. 5267.
