Cases increase in North Durham and Kawartha Lakes

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: COVID-19 case numbers in local communities are starting to see increases as the holiday season approaches. As of press time, according to the Durham Region Health Department, Uxbridge has 13 active cases in home isolation. To date, Uxbridge has had 26 deaths and 497 resolved cases.

Scugog has three active cases in home isolation. Since the start of the pandemic, Scugog has had 17 deaths and 405 resolved cases. Brock Township has 12 active cases in home isolation. To date, Brock has had three deaths and 207 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 33 unresolved/active cases, 1,322 resolved cases and 58 deaths.
