Come out to the Brechin Legion Winter Carnival Family Fun Day on Sunday, March 16th. This event will be held as an outdoor activity. There will be assorted outdoor activities from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. such as crafts, cupcake decorating and board games, weather permitting. There will be Zoo to You visits from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hot dogs and munchies will be available from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a family dance from 4 p.m.to 5:30 p.m.
Come out to the first tapping ceremony at the Pinedale Maples from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th. This first tapping is a chance to see how the forest is tapped and maple syrup is made. The address is 12925 Sideroad 18, Sunderland.
Come out to the Lindsay Recreation Complex for free public skating on Sunday, March 16th, from 2:15 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.
There are many activities for March break going on at the Library in Lindsay including the following;
There will be a free cookie decorating program on Thursday, March 15th starting at 10:30 a.m. This is a free program for kids.
Later the same day bring the kids for Penguin Tales. There will be stories, activities, and crafts about penguins at 2 p.m. Use your imagination to design a book title and cover for ages 7 to 12. Registration is required.
On Friday, March 16th, at 10:30 a.m., there will be fun music and movement with a parachute, for the whole family.
On Saturday, March 17th from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a St Patrick's Day craft drop and visit anytime for some crafting fun. For more information, call the Kawartha Library Lindsay Branch at 705-324-5632.
