Just a reminder of the Blackstock Agricultural Society’s Annual Meeting and Potluck this week on Thursday, January 16th at the Blackstock Recreation Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend, just bring a favourite dish to add to the buffet. We are looking forward to hearing a bit about the history of the ONO club in our community from our guest speaker, Donna Kyte. Memberships will also be available for just $5. This allows you entry to one of our summer events such as the Truck and Tractor Pull in July or the Demolition Derby in August.
Janet Van Camp recently returned from sunny Florida after spending nine days in Sarasota. This city has many fabulous white sand beaches, the most well-known being Siesta Key, and is also famous for its connection to the Ringling Brothers of circus fame.
Youth hockey continues at the Arena on Saturdays! The kids are learning so much. Thanks to the coaches, time keepers, refs, and organizers who make this happen each week.
