Sincere condolences to the friends and family of Matt Grills, who passed away peacefully at his home in Blackstock, on Tuesday, October 27th.
Due to COVID-19, there will not be an in-person Remembrance Day Service, service, held at the Blackstock Recreation Centre, Cenotaph or Blackstock-Nestleton United Church.
Instead, a virtual Zoom service, complete with music and prayers, will be provided on November 11th at 10:30 a.m. The Cenotaph with its wreaths will be shown and the soldiers’ names read. Letters home from several Veterans will also be read. All are welcome to join via the link found courtesy of the church on the website: https://blackstock-nestletonunitedchurch.com, in honour of those who fought for our freedom. The Blackstock Co-op Nursery School (BCNS) is running its first official online fundraiser of the year, with Mom’s Pantry.
Mom’s Pantry has an extensive selection of pastry items, cookie dough, muffin mixes and other baking products and appetizers, soup, pizza, protein mixes, tea and seasoning spices. There are dozens of items that would also make great holiday gifts if your looking to support not only BCNS, but a Canadian company.
You can place your order directly with any of the school’s parents OR directly online at https://momspantry.ca
Once you are ready to check out, you will be prompted to select Fundraising Order or Personal Order. Select Fundraising Order and use BCNS’s ORDER NUMBER: 318983 and GROUP PASSCODE: 25694.
The deadline for orders is Thursday November, 19th. Purchases will automatically contribute 40 percent of proceeds to the non-profit school. Delivery will be scheduled at the beginning of December just in time for the holidays. BCNS families and those who placed direct orders using the BCNS fundraiser codes will be notified of the drop date via email. Pick up and/or family deliveries will be arranged in the safest possible manner, with all COVID-19 protocols in place.
BCNS will also be holding its Annual General Meeting for all members on Monday, November 23rd at 8 p.m. Due to COVID-19, the meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.
