Bikeshare comes to Lindsay

TERRY GUIEL Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce

KAWARTHA LAKES: The Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce has partnered with our Chamber member Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives to provide our Bikeshare bikes at their location. We now have five bikes at the Museum at 50 Victoria Avenue, North, in Lindsay.

We are grateful to Regional Tourism Organisation-Accelr8 (RT08) for the initial funding of the bikes and infrastructure, Cogeco Yourtv Peterborough-Lindsay for this year's sponsorship of the Bikeshare program, and Kawartha Lakes CFDC Launch Kawartha for funding five new bikes, which will soon be added at another location (TBD).

A big shout out to Allyssa Adams, previous Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce executive director, for bringing the Bikeshare program to Lindsay and securing the initial RT08 funding.

Barbara Doyle, the Managing Director at the Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives, is thrilled to bring active transportation choices to the facility for visitors, tourists, and staff to enjoy.

What a lovely initiative! Will bikes be available during the winter too? Are there security measures in place to ensure only staff and visitors to KLMA use the bikes?
