The North Durham Warriors Atom AA team will be looking for back-to-back titles as they are moving on the the OMHA Finals against the Niagara Falls Flyers. Coming off an OMHA Minor Atom ‘AA’ Championship season in 2018-19, the Warriors finished first in the regular season with a record of 23-3-1. They have rolled through the playoffs undefeated so far. In the opening round they defeated the Northumberland Nighthawks in three straight games and continued that trend against Whitby, taking down the Wildcats in three games. North Durham clinched the Lakeshore League crown after downing the Clarington Toros in three straight games to reach the OMHA semifinals. On Thursday, March 5th, in Uxbridge, the Warriors shut out Richmond Hill 3-0 in Game 3 to clinch the series.
