Uxbridge: This year’s Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Festival promises to be better than ever. The Festival features over 30 emerging and established artists displaying their work which includes paintings, ceramics, fiber arts, jewelry, furniture and more. This is a wonderful collection of creative artworks.
The Fringe Art Festival is presented by Artists of Uxbridge, a local art group that meets regularly to bring artists together, promoting and supporting art in our community. New members at all level are welcome. Chat with us about the group at our Art on the Fringe booth.
As well as browsing and shopping with the artists, you can also:
· Eat lunch and snacks from the Meat Merchant food truck. Make this a stop on your Uxbridge Studio Tour or start your day with peameal bacon on a bun and coffee.
· Listen to live music from a variety of local Musicians.
· Enjoy the wonderful scenery and heritage buildings.
… plus Exhibits and Washrooms are all accessible.
While you are visiting Art on the Fringe don’t forget to see the many Museum Centre buildings and farm equipment from yesteryear. The Museum Exhibit Rye, Rebels and Restraint is on through September. This is truly a great location high on a hill overlooking Uxbridge. A large parking lot is on the south side for those arriving by car or you can get your exercise by walking the trail to the venue.
