UXBRIDGE: This year so many art shows and festivals had to cancel because of the pandemic. Here in Uxbridge at a local art group, members have been drawing and painting through this period of social distancing. Usually the Artists of Uxbridge have their annual Art Show as part of the Art on the Fringe festival, held on the Uxbridge-Scott Museum grounds. Like many other events, they had to modify their format to match the changing times. This year they will have an online art show, during the month of September, to display their work.
The Artists of Uxbridge hope you will visit their website, at artistsofuxbridge.ca, and enjoy the artwork. If you are interested in purchasing a piece in the virtual show or would like to see more work by the same artist, please contact them by email, at uxartgroup@gmail.com. You can also find contact information on the Art Show page of their website.
Artists would be happy to display their work in a Covid-safe manner. A pre-arranged appointment with the artist might include artwork on easels on the porch or set out on lawn furniture ready for your visit.
Artists of Uxbridge is a not-for-profit local art group, meeting regularly to bring artists together, promoting and supporting art in our community. New members at all levels are welcome. Contact them if you are interested.
